Ammonia water

Ammonia water, refers to the aqueous solution of ammonia, the main component is NH3·H2O, colorless, transparent and pungent.

Ammonia water is volatile and has some alkalinity. It is prepared by passing ammonia gas into water. The commonly used 20% (mass fraction) ammonia freezing point is about -35℃

The neutralization reaction between ammonia and acid produces heat, which is dangerous to explode.

Uses:Ammonia water is mainly used as an agricultural fertilizer. In the chemical industry, it is used to manufacture various ammonium salts, aminating agents for organic synthesis, and catalysts for the production of thermosetting phenolic resins. In the textile industry, it is used for wool spinning, silk, printing and dyeing industry, for washing wool, wool, grey cloth oil and dyeing, adjusting pH and so on. In addition, it is used for pharmaceutical, leather, hot water bottle bile (preparation of silver plating solution), rubber and oil alkalization.
